Poor elf saved our ass knowing he was dead anyway. R.I.P. unknown hero
stay save, look if you can find some survivors (that wont die while we sleep) and check for something to heal or similar.

Re: Quest for Glory continued
and on it goes... you decide to go look if you can find any survivors of the massacre and on a more practical note, hopefully find anything useful in the aftermath of the battle: you think about replacing your tattered chainmail with the your dead saviours ones, only to see that it is in even worse shape than yours. a look at the elfs bow tells you that it must have been used to block the beasts attacks, as it is cracked and splintered. it´s masters last efforts to save your life cost the bows´also.
where do you want to go?
- higher up into the tree city
- down again
- just wander around aimlessly

Re: Quest for Glory continued
Higher up - the chance of encountering a beast high up in trees should be lower than the chance of encountering a beast on the ground.

Re: Quest for Glory continued
you decide to make your way up higher into the tree city. maybe you will find survivors there, maybe resources. or perhaps the risk of running into something dangerous will lessen. with these thoughts in mind you make your way up.
after an hour or so of walking, only encountering more mauled elfs and beasts, you find your way into a very big, circular sort of room, or rather rondell. you see even more corpses there, but all the gore you have seen lately has left you feel rather densensitized to it all.
what you haven´t seen yet however is a frail looking bird, around half a meter high feasting on one of the corpses.
you decide to:

Re: Quest for Glory continued
Definitely loot corpses cautiously while moving towards the bird. Being an elf we might have some instincts that will help us tell from the birds expression what he has seen.

Re: Quest for Glory continued
you cautiously approach the bird like creature with the intention of divining wether they, unlike all the other corpses you have encountered so far.
and indeed, just as the other corpses have been mauled beyond all recognition so have the ones the bird is feeding on at the moment. their armor is destroyed and their weapons are shattered.
suddenly you accidentaly step on a shattered sword which makes a loud clanging noise. the bird raises it´s head, looks at you, hisses and gets ready to attack:

Re: Quest for Glory continued
you decide to attack the creature before it attacks you:
your hp: 8
enemies hp: 4
4 - 3 +1
you attack the bird with your elven dagger and your kitchen knife and tear it apart.
it´s blood and entrails fly up into the air and sully your already bloodied form more.
you are now alone again, what will you do:
