Who said he's on the other side of the pond? Razz You get to hit him twice before he gets to you unless you freeze him.

You cast a frostbolt at the bear but you only hit him at the side where his fur is thick, dealing 2 damage.

You cast another frostbolt and it hits perfectly, dealing a steady 5 damage!

The bear attacks you for 1d5 but his claw just leaves a small wound dealing 2 damage.

Your trust worthy bird Jack is cirkulating over the battlefield, watching every move.

Combat:
Llanivayaratis 8/10

Bear 3/10

What do you do now?

> Cast yet another frostbolt

> Try to finish him off with a firebolt

> Heal yourself

> Try to flee

You cast a totally perfect firebolt that deals a full 6 damage, overkilling the bear and leaving it with fatal burns. Jack lands on your head rubs his head towards your hair, your assumption is that it's a gesture from his part to show that he is proud.

You also grow a level, Which lets you choose from the following improvements.

> Frostbolt 1d6 25% chance of freezing target.

> Firebolt 1d7 25% chance of leaving the target burned for 1 damage per round over 3 rounds.

> Heal 1d8, with a 20% of overhealing you giving you as much extra hp as your heal would've healed for. Ex. 6/10 hp heals 8, you are left at 14/10. This cannot accure before you've entered combat and the effect wont last after the fight is over.

Your max Hp also increased by 2.

What would you like to do now?

> Remove some teeth from the bear in hope that you can sell them later, also make a nice bearsteak, and take the bigger fishes and fry it for yourself, and feed Jack with the smaller fishes.

> Continue on your journey and try to get to the village as fast as possible.

You decide that it's time to treat yourself and Jack, and make a nice bearsteak with some vegetables and fish for yourself and feed Jack with the smaller fishes, since he is a house sparrow he can't eat big fishes.
The food turned out delicious and you finish eating with a smile on your face and Jack seems satesfied aswell. What would you like to do now? It's still somewhat dark however you can judge from looking at the sun that it wont be much more than 4 hours untill it gets dark, and this pond is a really nice place after all. What would you like to do?

> Walk around the pond a bit, but don't get to far away and wait for it to turn dark, sleep close to the pond over the night.

> Continue towards the village.

You walk around the pond for a few hours, studying the beautiful vegetation and making sure that this is a safe place to sleep. Then you let Jack fly around aswell and when he comes back he doesn't seem frightend and just lands on your head as usually, so you guess that it's a good sign. Then you take a look back at the pond and see a fish jumping up, catching a fly. Geez, this place sure is beautiful.
It's getting dark and you decide that now it's time to sleep, and you make up a small fire and use your coat as a cover.
You wake up in the middle of the night, something is here. You slowly stand up and look around trying to be as quiet as possible. You here some slurping very close to the pond, and there it is, another brown bear. You have many options but you decide it's smartest to...

> Leave the bear alone, it doesn't seem to be aggresive towards you. Go back to sleep.

> Kill the bear, since it would be great training.

You decide to avoid unnecesary violence, and go back to sleep.
You wake up early the other day, the sun is just about to rise and it's truely beautiful. You feel refreshed and happy. You see Jack playing with a few other house sparrows, seems like he made some friends.
Now you decide that it's time to go to the village.
You get to the village without encountering any trouble and Jack is, as usually, sitting on your head.
When you enter the village you conclude that this is a human village, since the most people that you see are humans.
One human walks straight towards you, with a smile on his face, it seems like he can tell that you are not from here, as the village is quiet small.
"Welcome to Antro, visitor, what's your name?"
"My name is Llanivayaratis. What's your name?"
"Tor. I am the major of this city. We are known for having one of the best bars there is but don't have visitors that often since you have to get throught the hideous forest. We also have great weapon smiths, however they ain't cheap!" he says with a wink. "Anyways, welcome, enjoy your stay."
As it's around noon it's not time for the bar yet, so what would you like to do?

> Take a walk in the town and see if you can find anything interesting.

> Ask the major if he can show you around.

> Ask the major if there live any wizards in the village.

"Could you show me around in the village, please?" You ask with a kind voice.
"Sure thing, what would you like to see, the blacksmith square, our great farms, our library or the famous bar?"
Choose from the options above.

"Can you show me the way to your libary?"
"Sure" he replies and starts walking. Since the village is small it only takes a few minutes for you to get there, and the libary seems rather small.
"Here it is, I will be leaving now as I have other tasks to fininalize." Tor says with a smile.
"Thank you very much for your time, I appriciate it." You reply, and enter the libary.
As you thought, the libary is quite small and there seem to be few books that would interest you since the most books are about weapons and armors.
After looking around for a few minutes you gather a few books that could interest you. "Birds and more birds", "Magic tricks you don't know about" and "Maps around the country of men."
Which one would you like to read?

The choice was easy, as you are an apprentice in magic you need to learn more.
As you are reading the book you soon come to realization that this book is close to useless, it is merely for "tricks" and not true magic. You don't learn anything. You decide to that you should switch books and read another book.
As you pick up the book about birds the liberian approaches you.
"Hey, you there! This is not a place where you come to read books for free, if you want to borrow the book you have to pay!"

> Tell her that you are sorry and was going to borrow a few books however you didn't find any that interested you. Leave.

> Borrow the book about birds for 60 crowns.

> Borrow the book about the tavern for 60 crowns.

"May I borrow the book "Bird and more bird please?" You say with a kind voice.
"Sure, that will be 60 crowns, please. Leave it back to us tomorrow." She replys with a much benignant voice than before, you assume that she often has "customers" that just freeloads.
As you leave you find some very interesting information about house sparrows. Appearently the love seeds, especially oat and wheat. They also like insects and small vertebrates such as frogs and small lizards a lot, however they can eat adapt quickly to their environment and can eat most things as long as they get an oppertunity. They are are also one of the most common birds in the world which means they can survive in any ambient. It also says that this bird is often used for scouting and it's not very hard for a wizard to learn how to speak to them (sounds promising). It's around mid day.
What would you like to do now?
